about

This song was written for a comp that our friend Don't Let The Scene Go Down On Me! put together at the beginning of the COVID-19 crisis and lockdown. We initially just left it up there and stuff but we wanted it to be on our bandcamp also since it is on our discog tape now.

All proceeds from this will go to DLTSGDOM! or to a charity if they don't want it lol.

You can support the comp directly here:

lyrics

The light refracting through water droplets
On the tip of my finger
Tells me the coming of spring could rectify
And reminds me that it's bright here.

But the eventuality of the destruction of everything
And knowing that the world will end in flames
Is making it harder to give a fuck about anything.

Its high time that we take the time to make new ties
Ties to bind us, to realign us with one another.

Its connection i just couldn't see.
Its the way your life is tied onto me
Its how lack of self and and loud advocacy
Can lead to harming everyone around me.

No one cares us the way we need
They'll take and take and take and say
That its the way that it has to be.

Survive the unknown with the people we call home.
